One of the major concerns of Social Studies teacher is how to make the class dynamic, interesting, lively and catchy. There are several means to resolve this boring situation and the solution lies on the hands of the teacher.
Clear Discussions. Basically, students deserve to have clear discussions from the teacher. Having a complete understanding of the facts and figures will create a better reception of the subject matter to the minds of the learners. In this way, their brain cells will be awakened and at the same time active.
Active Participations. It takes two to Tango! The student should interact with the teacher. Active participation coming from each learner would create a dynamic Social Studies class. The ideas and insights coming from the students would be contributing much to the success of the discussion.
Functional Groups. Students must have formed their groups and these groups should perform their functions. Moreover, each member of the group has a role to play. The energetic groups are useful in attaining a dynamic Social Studies session.
Consistent Collaborations. The strategy of collaboration is very important in order for all the members of each group to give a share of ideas or solutions to a group activity. Collaboration yields better results since it connotes having unity within the group.
Lively Presentations. During the group reporting, the groups are encouraged to be more creative in presenting the group outputs. Achieving each group of exceptional presentation indicates an active Social Studies class.
Multimedia Assisted. The power of multimedia like the use of computers, television, radio and others will redefine the usual classroom interaction. The sounds and visuals are like magnets attracting the interest of the learners.
Well-Guided Interactions. Teachers as facilitators should be on guard and on guide during the interactions. He or she should be alert and keen in listening and considering ideas. Brilliant ideas which may come from the learner would make the class a huge success.
Innovative Instructions. The latest trends and approaches in teaching Social Studies should be employed by the teacher. The innovation and advancement are likely to create desirable outputs from the students.
