Many students sometimes misbehaved, or have been reported for some disciplinary problems that results to a failed subject or sometimes habitual absenteeism that will later on lead to being a drop – out.

 In cases like these, teachers need to conduct home visits. Home visits are a way to bridge the gap between school and home for students, families, and teachers. It is one way to deepen the partnership between teacher and parent to increase the student’s chances for success.

                       Many times, when parents are requested to attend a classroom or general meeting, few parents comply. Teachers must encourage parents to be involved with their children activities. Since according to some studies, home visits could increase student’s achievement, may reduce disciplinary problems and increase positive attitude and behavior toward school.

                       Teachers on the other hand should make her approach in a home visit pleasant and productive. Always make parents to be involved in school programs, other activities

                        School visit may vary according to student’s situations. It maybe every grading period to a once a year conference. Topics to be taken include a wide variety of discussion: the good attributes of their children, the improvement in their grades and also their extra-curricular activities.

                       During home visit, all information to be conveyed must be clear in the parents. This may include class schedule, school policies, meetings and programs.

                       In every home visit, teachers must ensure a very clear and meaningful communication.
