Innovations in a classroom is a teacher initiative. It is her prerogative to employ innovative techniques to improve pupils performance in terms of achievement. In the K to 12 program, mastery is still a skill that should be measured in content, though acquisition of skills is also most desired. Performance level of pupils measure the output of the teachers creative skills to make pupils learn.
To establish the overall context of the K to 12 program it is important that the spiral learning scheme should be thorough referred to so that pupils learning become comprehensive. The materials contained in the learning task should be considered so that pupils reaches the maximum level of learning outcomes and skills the child is expected to gain.
The preparatory skills for a child to undergo should not be cut short but rather more extensive practice in the area of learning for them to experience and enrich oneself. The key force why innovations should be part of the teaching learning process because in the present culture, we are more in the age of advance technology. If we remain in the contour of our old ways of teaching, we will limit our students to paper and pencil read and do activity. While if our innovations uses technology we lighten our job as a teacher. Our pupils will discover by themselves and learn significant insights. This will raise the pupils know how on self instruction technique due technology employed. Doing these we can establish and elevate the quality of their learning through the exploration of practical sciences in every grade level.
In these aspect of teaching Filipino teachers are expected the emphasize in the K to 12 thrusts to be more creative innovative thinkers and be creatively dealing with the challenges of our times.
Innovations is not only close to technology as a way to teach. It can also deals with rich practicable techniques that the teacher can use to manifests pupils learning mastery. Creativity in learning presentations using games, and drill practices so that pupils will gain fixing skills will surely matter. Included in this area of thought is the teachers employment of guide questions which is HOTS or simply High Order Thinking Skills. Simulation games have a great impact in cultural assessment of the pupils knowledge of the community. It is cognizant that innovations can bring the best in the pupils and teacher and to the education system of the country as a whole.
