Reading comprehension is the throbbing heart of  literacy development , advocacy and teaching . Readers enrich their lives,  sharpen their minds and experience a wide range of emotions by the meanings they create from print .

         The journey a reader takes , goes full cycle when readers reach out to other readers to share their knowledge , skills , values and perspectives . Thus , reading comprehension is more completely a journey from words to worlds …. and back !

        The Reading Association of the Philippines (RAP) has been playing vital role in Reading Comprehension of the teachers and the teachers bringing this to their classrooms .

         Emergent and early literacy , developmental reading and adolescent and adult reading are some of the presentations of RAP .

         The RAP also calls for proposals for research paper presentation and demonstration lessons . Doing this will further enhance teachers’ and pupils’ reading comprehension .

Therefore , the journey from words to worlds becomes shorter and easier with many reading teachers , teacher educators working together towards the same goal .
