Classroom serves as second home of our pupils. Classroom design serves as motivating factor of pupils to come to school regularly. The classroom structuring could also facilitate the teaching-learning process. What really makes a kinder classroom conducive to learning?
- Different sections of the room should be well planned and creatively structured. Some of the sections of the room include children’s working area, reading area, washing area, watching area, playing area. These corners of the room exhibit children’s outputs. Children especially parents would like to see their children’s works or performance outputs.
- Tables and chairs should be appropriate to the size of the pupils. They could be painted with attractive colors or could be dressed for maintenance and aesthetic purpose. Arrangement depends on the activities for learning.
- There should be was area so pupils could wash their hands after work and before they eat their snacks.
- Comfort room should be maintained clean.
- See to it that there were no harmful materials inside the classroom. Security of the pupils should not be neglected safety first unnecessary materials or structure should be removed.
Room-structuring would also require budget. But you could tap the parents as your strategic partner to help you provide their children a safe and conducive learning environment.
