Education system is based on the idea of getting information from teachers and learning materials. Due to this, examination is done to test the knowledge acquired by learners in which they are compared to other students. They only test the knowledge but not the skills the learnershave acquired. The goal of this system is to earn wisdom, not to use the wisdom as a skill. That’s the main reason why students are studying just to pass the exams but not to retain knowledge.

Learning gives us what we don’t have, often even more. Knowledge and skills need activities wherein the learner can sharpen what he/she has learned. However, sharpening a mind doesn’t need to be too much.

As we all know, too much is bad. In line with this, students are experiencing loads of work. Some of them are projects, examinations, reports, activities and the like. Those things are good for one’s mind because they help him/her to retain and to practice the knowledge given. But there are times, when the assigned tasks are too heavy and complicated. An average student has eight subjects in a day. Imagine, studying eight subjects a day is a very great task. What more if the educators will add assignments, activities and take home tasks simultaneously? These exercises, if given too much, become burden to the learners. Moreover, this situation gets even worse when the examination is coming in close. Teachers are giving projects and as students, they want to confer satisfactory products. However, how can this happen if the responsibilities they have to do are still in the list. Furthermore, all of them have the same given deadlines. Time management can be a good solution but this is not applicable at all times. Sometimes, these tasks are given late, which cause delay on the part of the learners. They can pass it even if the product is not that satisfactory. But passing school works that were not done to the best of their abilities often leads to disappointment on the part of the teachers.

As far as we can see, the best thing we can do is to organize the ideas and activities. The subject teachers can discuss the schedule of works and their deadlines should be considered. While for students, especially if the work is by group, they should have a right and organized plan on how they will use all allotted time.

As a conclusion, all scholastic activities, if properly planned and managed, can be beneficial for both the educators and students.
