It is a fact that learners go to schools to learn. The Acquisition of knowledge goes up by levels according to the program designed by the educational system. It pinpoints the use of various approaches depending on the learning capacity of learners where students are grouped together according to grade levels.

            The structural formation of education works for the enhancement of knowledge so that students who are qualified will be equipped with the ability to comprehend the next level learning as they pass the lower level. To classify the students according to the degree of learning which is based on the grades earned by them from a particular grade level, the use of sectioning is applied. Though they are qualified passers, their section assignments to the next grade level will have to consider the degree of learning from the grades reflected on their class records. With scrutiny, it is with intent to serve the purpose of understanding whether or not sectioning is the real solution in the promotion of students to the next higher level grade.

            In this regard, there are factors that may be looked upon in relation to the matter of having the lower section and higher section category. Previously, when students belong to Section 1, it is an automatic implication that they belong to the “cream of the crop” in their grade level. Whereas, the students falling in the last section are considered to be at par in their studies, worse than that they are menials who barely made over the passing grade.

            Learning about the behaviour and attitude of individual students may be lofty but doable. The distinction between slow learners, gradual learners, average learners, fast learners, weak finishers, strong finishers, and the partially disoriented must be given focus on how random sectioning will work for the improvement of learners.

            Education is a learning field where everyone can also learn from the needs of students.
