As the old saying goes “Health is Wealth” is a very important reminder that almost everyone understands. Taking its meaning, this quotation implies that wealth is useless if our health is not in good condition. Money in the bank, beautiful houses and cans and all those material properties are nonsense if we are sick and our health condition fails. Thus, it is very important to stay fir and to start having a healthy body at young age.
Teachers and Dep.Ed Medical Team especially School nurses must take time to allow school Children be engaged in sports and physical fitness activities. During flag ceremonies and even in subjects like PEC (Physical Education), they can guide their pupils and they can train them in playing different sports like Volleyball, Badminton and the like for them to be inspired and be physically and mentally healthy.
Sports can also be a way of developing and training school children to have self-Discipline. Added to that, molding of their young mind and the total development of their personality will go along which will make them happy and stress free.
In a world, where diseases are dangerous and incurable, sports are the best weapon and a healthy mind and body is our greatest treasure.
