“Education enables the mind to find out the ultimate truth, which gives us the wealth of inner light and love and gives significance to life.”

            It is well noted that education plays such a rudimentary role on our society that we cannot even imagine a life without it. It is a determined element for the civilization of human society. Not only does it helps us develop healthy surroundings but it also generates an advance community. As a matter of fact, everything we create today is based on the knowledge that we obtain throughout our life by way of education. These assist scientists in inventing equipment and devices, resulting in a high technology nowadays. The more developed life becomes, the more necessary education is for everyone.

            Quality education is being promoted in our country. From the time that is called Department of Education, Culture and Sports (DECS) up to now that it is Department of Education (DepEd), quality education remains as its goal.

            DepEd is on its way on achieving its goals. It is now starting through empowering the teachers by giving seminars and trainings which will hone their skills and potentials. Also, teachers are encouraged to take up master’s degree so there’s room for them to professional growth. As we all know, teachers has an important role on the teaching-learning process and these educators can teach better if they will be more equipped. The trainings they undergo help them to be more competent. Another program is the construction of more buildings and classroom to ensure better atmosphere for learning. The government is allotting fund for these constructions.

            The quality of education however, does not depend on there alone because there are still more shortage of classrooms, books (some even need revisions and updates) and changes in the system are also being called for. To ensure quality education we must be observant in many aspects and look for appropriate solution for the existing problems. If government funds are properly and seriously implemented, then, quality education in our country is possible.

            Quality will be visible upon the learner’s performance. We can see that we have it if more people will finish studies, pass license exams and get jobs.

            In the end, quality educators will not just be a goal but a key to progress as well. Quality education may lead quality jobs, leading to the country’s increased employment rate. Needless to say quality education can be a tool to our nation’s progress.
