A teacher of the 21st century must be adept with certain necessary abilities and proficiencies in order to deliver knowledge and skills efficiently and effectively. The teacher should strive for excellence and not to be contented on mediocrity which is not abiding with the real standards in education. Teaching with excellence is the answer.
Primarily, as a teacher you have to be equipped with your own specialization where you could spring out yourself to reach your learners. The teacher’s forte will be the tool in influencing others in order to mold their minds and heart into something meaningful. Excellence will be evident in their teaching if they effectively instil in the learners the greatness and essence of knowledge.
In the actual classroom setting, a teacher is anticipated to offer the best of everything. He/she is deliberately leading to study concepts and guiding them to employ these concepts in practical means. The teachers educate the students to find the value of what they are doing after imparting such knowledge. An excellent teaching undeniably leads the way to another link and not just contended on simple grasp of ideas. In other words, you let the students think critically to further knowledge.
Excellent teaching now-a-days makes use of the latest technology. In the classroom, the teacher exercises modern pedagogy with computer-aided activities. The teacher invites the students to explore the world and even beyond their imagination. The teachers even give the students the opportunity to exhibit their talents and skills using computers.
Excellent teaching makes use of all available resources in the environment. The teacher brings the student to various nearby educational sites where they could experience the real life in the real world. Various tours and educational trips could be helpful for them to appreciate the substance of education.
Furthermore, excellent teacher shows exemplary model. It’s just like having the principle of walk you talk. The teacher should be the epitome of knowledge and goodness. Whatever the teacher manifests will be copied by the students. The teacher should be a picture perfect of the admirable image in the school for we don’t only teach knowledge but also values.
