We can learn from many lessons about the things that can be observed in the school. We may think of an idea to address this specific issue which is very vital to every individual regardless of his age, gender, status or status in the society.
The terms respect and professionalism are two words with different definitions but they are considered as intertwined elements that are relevant in the school on the part of all concerned.
Generally speaking, there are many individuals who don’t realize the importance of respect to people around them. They are even saying that they have to be respected because they have high attainments in terms of educational degree and some are even saying that they play a vital role in the community or even in the government. Most importantly, this group of people could hardly understand the real essence of the word RESPECT. Mr. Webster defines respect as to have reference to or concern. Meaning to say, this word means that someone must think of others’ side rather than himself. Respect begets respect. It simply states that we have to prefer objectivity and not subjectivity in terms of being a part of the society. Moreover, this has something to do with considering the emotions of others.
Let’s us then tackle another concern which is all about the term PROFESSIONALISM. Another word to define professionalism is the word competence or effectiveness. It literally means that one who exercises professionalism is considered competent, efficient and effective.| In short, he is professional in all of his dealings.
If all parents and educators, students and all personnel will do the same thing by meeting the halfway, they will certainly gain respect.
Reflect on this, if we want to be professionals in the simplest way, we must respect others. If you want to be respectable, we must be professionals in the best way it should be acted upon.
