The teaching of the different subjects many years ago was taught in traditional way. The main duty of the teachers then was to transmit the skills and facts to the next generation. The teachers employed the lecture method and they did not use instructional materials.

As the years go by, the development in our educational system shifted its emphasis from the utilization of instructional materials and technology as an integral part to the examination of teaching – learning process.

One of the latest technologies we have now is the Interactive White Board (IWB). It is the new learning tool that enhances the teaching and learning process. This learning tool allows the teacher to use different media and thousands of resources found in the internet to increase learners’ level of engagement in different lessons.

The Interactive Whiteboard (IWB) is very helpful to make interesting lesson plan that will evoke the interest of the learners, that the learners enjoy the lesson while learning.

Here is the example of lesson plan in Mathematics grade four using interactive whiteboard resources that will help teachers to present their lessons.
