In order to facilitate learning, an effective classroom management is a must. How efficient or effective classroom management is will definitely depend on the implementer to attain its goal and to be able to effectively attain that goal one must have the potential and ability to see the learners needs. Classroom management does not only entails the physical facilities and the physical structure but also the over-all flow of activities that are handed down to the students, considering students behavior, how you dealt with them and addressing their needs. It does not only tent your abilities to determine how effective you are in dealing with individual learners. Proper management can only be achieved if you have known your functions and duties as person in authority.
As leader and a manager of course you have to set your goal and target. You should also learn to organize, there’s no more important than being organized in everything that you do from the activities, classroom structuring and arrangement, students will really love to learn if your classroom is organized and properly decorated. Students would love to see things posted on bulletin boards and decorations that are pleasing to the eyes. But all the activities you have to undertake must have to be carefully planned, planning ahead of time can be the best way to formulate your plans for you to have ample time to prepare and prioritize things. Of course directing students in their responsibilities would lessen workloads, you should learn to delegate tasks among your students and assigned responsibilities to the right person in the class which you think and handle the work well, that would help you lessen your loads. A good sense of communication is necessary for a teacher to carefully manage the class, because students would only know their duties if you properly assigned to them and relate to them their tasks and responsibilities all you have to do is monitoring.
Classroom management therefore, is just simply putting everything at the right perspective. You don’t need to monopolize the tasks. Effective management can only be achieved if you successfully achieved your vision of what to do with your class. A clear mission and vision will do for you to have your directions on the targeted tasks. Setting rules could be another factor but the rules should have to be carefully implemented and explained before you imposed them. A good manager could be a good decision maker, the success of every manager lies on the way he make his decisions, although firm in his decisions yet he must have to consider every side of the coin before making final decision, in other words, be open minded and above all he must have walk his talk. For a manager you should have the final say. A good manager should be open to change. The success of an effective classroom management will depend upon the person himself, the implementer.
