The school environment is a very detrimental factor in a student’s life. Other than lessons being taught, the safety, enjoyment, and comfort of students should also be prioritized. It is important to keep in mind that students stay within the borders of the school for nine hours a day, five days a week. For years, they stay in the same halls, building their own cliques and communities within one another. The environment plays a vital role on the student’s overall experience in the school.

          All students are obligated with tons of homework, lessons to memorize, and concepts to understand. The task of learning sure is as difficult as it is tiring and that is why they need inspiration and proper motivation. This will help them continue to strive to be the best student that they can be. More often than not, students find release through the bond they make with their fellow students. These friendships offer students a sense of comfort and even fun. Add a little positive reinforcement from teachers and any student would feel greatly appreciated and supported. Moreover, if the school provides the students with enough recreational and/or extracurricular activities, then students will have their much deserved breaks. This will give them excitement and something to look forward to.

The school is not supposed to just be seen as a place of obligation where students are expected to attend and ace their quizzes. It is a community made by healthy relationships within its people—teachers, students, staffs, etc. It is a safe place where one is encouraged to discover his potentials, embrace his individuality, and express his ideals.
