In a general context of the word, the term teacher pertains to a person who teaches, explains, mentors or trains others. Judging from the various roles which he/ she does right away you will realize it’s definitely a difficult world to be into. True enough that our job description entails an endless and tedious array of papers and pencil works to do and have it submitted in its due dates, still, honestly, I love being the teacher that I am.

     Hard and fruitful years of my teaching career actually made me a whole person. It made me realized how meaningful my life was and my life is as of press time, mentoring young minds and young hearts. Countless students made their way in achieving their personal successes primarily because of the knowledge which I have shared with them.

      Notwithstanding the values of life which I’ve instilled in their hearts thus, making them better persons guided with the fear of the Supreme Being in their lives. But there are also a few times as if I wanted to give up my teaching profession due to some personal issues like being burnt out with my daily routine and the fast changing complex attitudes/ behavior of our learners today. But at the end of the day, here I am again embracing the profession which I choose to serve.

      In my mind, no amount of money can equal the joy each time someone will greet and thank you for teaching him/her. Receiving a short simple note or just a plain cloth flower every special occasions really touches this heart of mine. Being greeted in the hall way with genuine smiles of your students and co teachers exactly warms one’s day. Being applauded by your students for a lesson clearly understood on such particular meeting is an awesome experience.

      In view of the foregoing revelations, this is actually the teacher……..that I am, and shall I be till

 my last day in school.
