There are lot of things parents and student need to prepare in welcoming the school year. Here are some tips to make the transition of summer vacation into school a fun and stress free one.

  1. Visits the School

This is important for the children who are going to school for the first time or for those moving to a new school. It is good to learn more about your child’s teacher, the environment if it is safe and the rules and regulation to be followed and be familiarized to the place your child will be sending most of the day.

  1. Regulate sleeping habits

Children may have sent late summer nights enjoying his free time or vacation. But once the school starts, sleeping habits have to change. A child needs enough sleep and rest to be able to perform well in school. Two weeks before the class start parents should set their child sleeping habit in 10 hours per day.

  1. Remind your child the importance of time management and be positive.

Do not let your child struggle for adjustment that has to be made when school starts. Slowly introduce a more structured schedule at least two weeks before the class start. List down all the important things that your child must now and needs in advance child stress. Get your child feel excited about school by being excited in helping him prepare for it. Any activity will be fun as long as you keep open minded  and positive outlooks.
