The emerging global village will be a world for Global citizens, a world of multiple intelligences both individually unique and mutually reinforcing. A world which may finally witness and nurture the communion of all people, the realization of one humanity sharing and enriching one earth.

                How about consider the following scales in measuring how we should nurture our students Emotional development?

  1. IQ makes one good English professor;
  2. IQ makes one a sociologist of marriage;
  3. IQ makes one a valedictorian;
  4. IQ makes one a brilliant financial analyst;
  5. IQ lets one write psychiatric theories;
  6. IQ makes one a legal scholar;
  7. IQ makes one a prolific speech writer;

EQ makes one chairman of the English Department

EQ makes one happily married

EQ makes one student council president

EQ makes one a dynamic CEO.

EQ means one doesn’t need a psychiatrist.

EQ makes one a brilliant lawyer.

EQ makes one a charismatic speaker.

As a teachers, we are part of who they are in the future. We must prepare our students for that bright new world, which is being born even now in our midst. We must help them become masters, not of other persons, but of themselves and their own destinies. We must help them appreciate the creative dynamics between personal fulfillment and social responsibility, between freedom and social; order, between diversity and shared aspirations thus the realization of one humanity sharing and enriching one earth.
