There are times that the students find hard times and encounter difficulties in studying math subject and its skills and competencies.  With this regard, the teacher should find the best teaching interventions in order to make the learning process of the student easier and better.

Create a session for the familiarity of the students on math concepts and symbols. Students would learn better if they are familiar with various math concepts and symbols that will help the students understand math skills and competencies.

Spend time in dealing with directions, questions, explanations, and instructions.  Have the students analyze various concepts which will aid them in facing challenges in math problems and skills.

Have them be exposed to concrete examples and opportunities to apply the concepts they are learning.Have specific examples to clarify general concepts.  Spending time with the students to apply concepts in specific instances is another effective intervention.

Review daily the skills that you want memorized.  Mastery of mathematical skill will be possible if the learners are given a chance to practice them daily.  Have them do various skills every day for them to memorize the steps and ways to derive in an accurate answer.

Use a peer tutor, then allow the student to be the peer tutor (learn and teach).  Another intervention a teacher may employ in the teaching-learning process is peer-tutoring.  Through the help of a student to a fellow student will be contributory to one’s learning.

Find opportunities for the students to solve problems in real life.  Encourage the students to relate math in real life situations.  Help them realize its applicability and real essence in facing life challenges.  In this way the students will create more interests in studying the subject.

Use computer-aided instructions in teaching math.  The computer itself will be a good intervention for it will catch the attention of the students to embrace the subject.

These will be useful and effective in order to assist the students in learning all the competencies in math and to be relieved from confusions and difficulties.
