Mathematics teachers now a day are facing big problems with regards to student’s academic performance. The manifestation that the students have problems in the said subject is the low scores of the students in the evaluation given after every lesson and their scores in the periodical test as well. These are the common problems of every teacher in Mathematics. There are so many destructions in the surroundings that make the students busy instead of giving time in their studies. This kind of problem can be solved if the teacher can think of many ways on how to deal with this problem. One way is to go with the flow and interest of the students. If the students have more time in surfing the net, computer works, or chatting using facebook, instangram o twitter , give them works that can enhance their likes or concern, for instance, the teacher can give research work on a certain topic in Mathematics, it is also available to let them surf for a certain lesson and a test should be given in the facebook. We are now on the 21st century; the students are being bored with the chalk and chalkboard. To eliminate the boredom of the mathematics students, topics must be presented in power point, it can also be in video clips or the most and effective one is the use of real objects. Teachers can also give an activity that will challenge the abilities of the students to solve the given problem in Mathematics. As for many students, Mathematics subject is the most difficult compare to other subject. They say that Mathematics needs an exact and accurate value. For that, some of the students are afraid in facing the Mathematics subject either the Mathematics teacher. The students see their Mathematics teacher as a terror one. They always have an overview that if the teacher teaches Mathematics he/she will be terror in the classroom situation. An effective Mathematics teacher knows the needs of the students. He/she can adopt himself/herself in this fast changing world. Nothing can stop the teacher in giving the best education that the students must acquire. The teacher will always give an update for the students to learn as fast as they can with comprehension. The teacher can include to the teaching process the strategies or methods suited for the level of understanding of the students. How can be an effective Mathematics teacher? What are the qualifications in order for us as a teacher to become an effective to our students? Some people may say that an effective teacher depends on the score of the students in the given examination. Some may say that it depend on how the teacher executed the lessons or how the students gained knowledge from the teacher. Being a teacher is being a learner in your own classroom. In my opinion, I can say that an effective teacher is the one who can impart knowledge to the students with his/her abilities. Teaching the students is not the only role of the teacher but being with the students will more be effective if the students learn and apply it in their everyday life.
