As an educator, you always think and contemplate on the best possible ways to improve your classroom instructions and for this you have to apply the effective classroom practices.

Effective teaching practices are instrumental in reaching the pinnacle of success in education. To wit:

           A. The purpose of teaching must be clear.

Initially, the teacher should have a clear purpose of what he/she is going to do by setting a specific objective or objectives. The learners should also know the reasons behind every activity the teacher is introducing.

B. The classroom discussion should be dynamic.

Along the teaching-learning process is an active discussion.  Let the learners participate and do worthwhile activities that develop and enhance their abilities, talents and skills.

C. Make use of meta-cognitive strategies.

Being a teacher is also being resourceful.  You have to think and employ the best meta-cognitive strategies that will make an efficient and effective teaching.  These strategies will make the students think and perform tasks.

D.Have appropriate assessments.

Gauge what you taught in the way the students know.  Always give a test that will evaluate the students’ learning, the contents are the ones they learned from you

E. Be open to feedbacks.

There is always a room for improvement. The teacher should be open for suggestions for the improvement of his/her craft.  It will be an effective practice in school if a teacher accepts constructive criticisms for improvement and for the sake of the learners.

These are all needed in achieving effective teaching practices for quality education.
