Reading comprehensionis the ability to read text, and understanding what you are reading. Reading can be learned in easy way if the child is exposed to many reading materials with the guidance of their parents at home and teachers in school. It’s a step by step process, once the pupils recognized and learned the letter sounds, he/she automatically will start reading.

                            

                           Reading can be learned in easy way but reading with comprehension is one of the problems that we encounter in school as teachers. If a teacher is confused about a student’s ability to comprehend, he or she should give the students many ways to show understanding. When asking comprehension questions, teachers may want to try the following strategies: give students plenty of time to answer; say the questionsand present them in written form; or let the student write their answer or circle it rather than saying it. The teacher might also try approaches that make the interaction more informal and less direct. Some learners are more successful when questions are asked in informal way, making children feel comfortable or leading them to understand the whole story again and again. These may help some students gain comprehension skills and improve their ability to read and communicate about written material.
